Mrs. Zoraida Arledge was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She has worked as an Economist for the government of Puerto Rico. In 1990, she moved to the United States where she met and married her husband Myron. Myron and Zoraida moved to Blythewood, SC. They strongly believe in treating people with dignity and respect.

Myron W. Arledge has been with Dunbar Funeral Home since the opening in 2009. He and his wife Zoraida are residents of Blythewood, SC. They have 3 sons and 3 grandchildren. He is an ordained Baptist minister.

Johnny joined the Dunbar staff 22 years ago in 1989. Johnny has been in the funeral business since 1970. He is a graduate of Gupton- Jones College of Mortuary Science in Atlanta Ga. He is an avid sportsman who travels all over the world hunting and fishing.

Jenel Burkhardt has been with Dunbar Funeral Home since the opening in October of 2009. She and her family have lived in the Blythewood area for about five years. Her husband David is retired from the Army, and they are the parents of three children.

Allen is a native of West Virginia, graduated from John A. Gupton College. He joined Dunbar Funeral Home in January 2011. Allen has worked as an advance funeral planning counselor and funeral director in the Greenville, SC area before joining Dunbar. He founded the Greater Columbia Chapter of the Widowed Persons Organization. Allen lives in Irmo.

Shellie DuVall
Administrative Assistant - Devine Street
Shellie is a Michigan native who came to South Carolina to join the Dunbar staff in February of 2008. She is a member and volunteer with the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Columbia. She is also on the board for the Greater Columbia Widowed Persons Organization. She is married to Curtis and they have three children.

Greg is a native of Columbia, graduated for Chapin High School and the University of South Carolina. He has been employed by Dunbar since 1986 and is a Fifth Generation family member. A member of the South Carolina Funeral Directors Association, he is currently serving as president and is a member of East Minster Presbyterian Church.

Gerald has been with Dunbar Funeral home as a part time employee for more than 20 years. Because of his familiarity with the majority of the families in the community, he is frequently asked to help with the services in one or more of his duties, driving the family limousine, acting as host at the visitation, and or singing at a service.

Crystal came to Dunbar in 2007 as an apprentice. She graduated from Piedmont Technical College. Crystal is an instructor at Piedmont Technical College for the embalming class. She is instrumental in Operation Christmas Child, an organization that collects shoe boxes of gifts for children in less fortunate countries.

Mary is a native of Saluda, SC. She joined Dunbar Funeral Home in 1989 after retiring from Ag First Farm Credit Bank after 20 years of service. She has 3 daughters and 6 grandchildren. Mary is a devoted sponsor representative of the Greater Columbia Widowed Persons Organization. She lives in West Columbia and is a member of First Baptist Church, Columbia.

David began his career in the funeral business in the 1980`s. David joined Dunbar in 2002. He enjoys assisting families in all facets of funeral planning and arranging. He has served on the board of the SC Funeral Directors Association as the Chairman of Central – Coastal region, and currently serves on the Greenhaven Preserve Green Burial Council. He and his partner live in downtown Columbia.

Bob Humphries has lived in Blythewood since 1963. He is married to Pat Humphries and they have 3 children and 6 grandchildren. Bob is a retired real estate broker and Pat is retired from the University of South Carolina. They are members of Trinity United Methodist Church in Blythewood.

Linda Jacobs began working part time at Dunbar almost 3 years ago after retiring from the SC Department of Environmental Control. Linda assists families with obituaries, death certificates and insurance issues, and interacts with phone calls to assist them with their needs. She also works at our Northeast Chapel as needed.

Jessica began her career in the funeral business in 1998, prior to attending Gupton –Jones College of Mortuary of Science. She graduated in 1999 and became licensed in 2001. She joined Dunbar in 2008. She is a member of Beth Shalom Synagogue and is active in many capacities within the Synagogue. She is also on the board of Joy in the Morning, Center for Life Losses.

Greg McMahan performs cremation services, Greg, originally from North Carolina, retired after 25 years in the financial industry. He lives with his wife Cheryle in the Summit community of Northeast Columbia. He is a member of the Living Springs Lutheran Church and enjoys time with his grandchildren.

She is currently the Pre-Need Counselor helping families plan their funerals in advance. Ann is a member of Shandon Presbyterian Church and the daughter of Jack & Zelle Burnside.

Betsy is a funeral director and serves as senior advisor to Dunbar Funeral Home. She has been with Dunbar for 26 years. Her great-great grandfather started the funeral Home in 1884 and she is the 5th consecutive member of her family to be associated with the company. She is married and has two sons and a daughter.

Charles has been a funeral director and embalmer for over 34 years. A 1976 graduate of Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He has been with Dunbar since 1993. Prior to coming to Dunbar he was with Charles R. Shealy & Sons Funeral Home in Batesburg- Leesville SC for over 20 years. He is a member of the First Calvary Baptist Church of Leesville.

He has served on the South Carolina Board of Funeral Service since 2007 and served as President of the board from 2010 to 2011. Born and raised in Lexington SC, Jeff is a member of Riverland Hills Baptist Church.

Alan Tinder performs cremation services. Following graduation from USC, Alan spent nearly 30 years in the Air Force as a pilot and eight years as an operations manager at the Pentagon. He and his wife Mary live in the Windermere community. Alan and Mary have lived in Blythewood for over four years.
